Who can apply for funding from Mount Carmel Foundation?

The Foundation accepts funding requests for program and service initiatives that benefit Mount Carmel patients, their families and members of the central Ohio community who are served by Mount Carmel Health System. Funds are distributed quarterly through an allocations process determined by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

How do I know my contribution will be used for the specific program and/or service I earmarked it to?

We work diligently to see that your donation is used in the manner it was intended. To that end, our Allocations Committee, which is comprised of Foundation Trustees, conducts a quarterly allocations process to ensure we oblige our donors’ intent.

What are my rights as a Mount Carmel Foundation donor?

As a donor, you are the lifeblood of our organization and we are committed to responsible stewardship of the funds you contribute in support of Mount Carmel’s mission-driven programs and services. That’s why we’ve created this Donor Bill of Rights.

How can I become a Mount Carmel volunteer?

There are many fun and meaningful volunteer opportunities throughout Mount Carmel, including the Foundation. We’re always looking for committed volunteers to assist the staff in the Foundation office, help out at various Foundation-hosted special events, work in our hospital gift shops and help out at Jan’s Place at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s (a cancer resource center). We greatly appreciate your interest and that of other individuals and groups in the community in hosting events and other activities to raise funds that benefit Mount Carmel. We only ask that you seek permission before using the Mount Carmel logo or making any mention of Mount Carmel or Mount Carmel Foundation in any event materials. Because we utilize raffles at our annual special events, additional raffles are prohibited through a law set forth by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, which limits the number of raffles a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization can hold annually.
