Here are some statistics of note on the state of nursing:
As these numbers show, there has never been a greater need for nurses or nursing education, which makes the support the Mount Carmel Foundation provides to the Mount Carmel College of Nursing more imperative than ever. Mount Carmel College of Nursing (MCCN) is the second largest baccalaureate nursing program in the state of Ohio. MCCN is among the top 10% in enrollment nationally, reaching a record enrollment in 2011/12 of 912 students. Enrollment has grown more than 80% over the past five years. With that growth has come an increasing need to provide qualifying students with financial aid and scholarships. Over 90% of the Mount Carmel College of Nursing student body receives either federal aid or financial aid/scholarships awarded by the College. In 2011, 90 students received almost $300,000 through the philanthropic support of donors to the Mount Carmel Foundation. There are countless ways to support nursing education and Mount Carmel College of Nursing students.
