During a weekend when friends and family join together for cookouts and fireworks to celebrate America's independence, the Mount Carmel Foundation, along with 1,300 of our closest friends, came together to celebrate YOU, our donors.
What many attendees claim was "the best Red, White & Boom" party yet, took place on the campus of Mount Carmel West the evening of Friday, July 1. The evening was a collaboration of appreciation to donors and an opportunity to celebrate the great work the Foundation has done this past year because of our donors' support.
The beats of the dance music were as loud as the laughter that came from the kids who enjoyed the hamster ball race and inflatable bounce house, while the dancing train of party goers zigged and zagged through the tables of friends enjoying a bevy of barbeque favorites. This was a night perfect for kids of all ages or even to let out the inner child in all of us.
"Everything was so well done. The staff and volunteers, welcoming and helpful, the activities and music joy-filled, the food and drink left no one wanting and the beautiful creative touches were so thoughtful," Mary McNamara, who enjoyed this event with her family.
Most notably though, the evening had the ideal weather combination that allotted for comfortable temperatures, clear skies and a slight breeze that helped keep the smoke from blocking the best view in town of the fireworks.
Attendees enjoyed a patriotic and breezy evening with family and friends leading up to the beautiful fireworks display put on in the City.
Roughly 1,300 people enjoyed an evening of delicious food, ice cream, crafts and activities for the kid at heart.
Mount Carmel's own, Cody Wright, presented the American flag during a ceremony to honor our veteran's this Independence Day weekend.
