Training for and completing a local charity run has become a popular way to honor loved ones who have battled a deadly disease. But now, thanks to a program developed by the National Hospice Foundation, every run can be a Run to Remember®. Run to Remember is a program through which runners and walkers can train for and complete runs across the country to honor loved ones who have benefitted from hospice care while also raising money for local programs like Mount Carmel Hospice & Palliative Care. Interested runners simply join Run to Remember, select races, walks or runs they’d like to complete, and raise money for their efforts. Half of all the money they raise will then go to the National Hospice Foundation and the other half will go to a local hospice program they designate, like Mount Carmel Hospice. Every year, people who’ve been touched by the compassionate care of hospice join Run to Remember. Now you can, too. Just visit www.runtoremember.org to learn more and sign up. Because every run should be a Run To Remember. *The Columbus Marathon takes place on October 16th. If you are running or walking in the marathon, consider joining Run to Remember to raise awareness of Hospice.
