Last year, Mount Carmel diagnosed and treated more than 2,800 cancer patients. The Cancer Services fund helps Mount Carmel offer programs and services that provide hope and healing to cancer patients and their families. This designation helps fund services that promote early identification, risk reduction and prevention for high risk individual. Additionally, this designation helps fund educational programming cancer treatments, side effect management, exercise and nutritional guidance.

Susan B. Adams Radiation Oncology Memorial Endowment
The Susan B. Adams Radiation Oncology Memorial Endowment supports the Mount Carmel Health System Radiation Oncology Departments by funding physical-plant improvements, patient education and resources, employee continuing education and conferences, equipment and financial support to patients in need.

Mount Carmel's Healthy Living Center engages the community and provides education and health and wellness services to the community. The goal of the Healthy Living Center is to better prevent and manage chronic medical conditions, encourage healthy lifestyle habits and promote holistic wellness in an inclusive environment. The programs are offered free or charge thanks to generous donations from the Mount Carmel Foundation.

At Mount Carmel, accomplishing our mission means providing healthcare not only to the patients at our central Ohio hospitals and health centers, but also to the underserved in our communities. The Mount Carmel Mobile Medical Coach has provided free basic medical care to central Ohioans for more than 30 years. The coach offers safe, convenient healthcare at local sites and serves as a vital part of Franklin County's healthcare safety net. The Prescription Ease program offers qualifying patients free medication-assistance.

Grief and Trauma
Your donation can help Mount Carmel continue to create safe spaces for individuals who are suffering physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially from traumatic events or a violent crime. The Mount Carmel Crime and Trauma Assistance Program offers trauma-specific counseling, education and outreach to the community at no cost.

Your donation can help Mount Carmel prepare our current and upcoming generation of doctors and nurses. Medical education a top priority at Mount Carmel. We are a teaching facility and take pride in housing one of Ohio's largest undergraduate, graduate and doctor of nursing programs, as well as six physician residency programs.
But even with top programs, donations are continually needed to ensure our students have the books, learning aids, equipment and research opportunities they need to succeed.
Dr. Ann E. Shiele Presidential Endowment Perm Restricted
In honor of Dr. Ann Schiele’s incredible vision and impact on the Mount Carmel College of Nursing, the MCCN Board of Trustees established the Ann E. Schiele Presidential Endowment Fund. Over $1.2 million was raised through efforts of the board and the Mount Carmel Foundation’s 2014 Champagne and Diamonds gala. Dr. Schiele worked at the College for a total of 50 years, serving as president and dean for 28 years. The fund recognizes Dr. Schiele’s unparalleled commitment and dedication to the field of nursing education with a focus on student scholarships, collaborative initiatives, academics and research, recruiting and retaining academic expertise, community partnerships and continuing Dr. Schiele’s vision into perpetuity.

Mount Carmel College of Nursing
Mount Carmel College of Nursing is the largest private BSN program in Ohio. With more than 1,100 students enrolled at Mount Carmel College of Nursing, there is a great need to ensure a large amount of financial aid and scholarships to qualifying students. Over 90% of the Mount Carmel College of Nursing student body receives either federal aid or financial aid/scholarships awarded by the College. In 2016, 191 students received more than $400,000 through philanthropic support of donors to the Mount Carmel Foundation. It is projected that in 2017, 150 students will receive $496,500.

Graduate Medical Education Fund
Mount Carmel has a rich history of Graduate Medical Education that dates back decades with a mission to serve those who are less fortunate than others. This spirit and mission is alive and well today as we educate the physicians of tomorrow. As we like to say only “the few and the proud” are able and willing to train with us as we provide care to a diverse population in a unique learning environment.

Medical Education Emeritus Professorship Endowment
Medical Education Emeritus Professorship Endowment is to assist retired physicians who attained full faculty status prior to their departure to train physicians who will serve future generations through the provision of the highest quality of medical care. This fund will support access for retired physicians previously engaged in Medical Education to keep them engages through lifetime library privileges, physician parking garage access, continued faculty involvement in the residency programs, and other activities deemed appropriate.

Mount Carmel Hospice & Palliative Care is one of the many programs supported by the Mount Carmel Foundation. As the only faith-based hospice program in central Ohio, Mount Carmel Hospice lives by its mission to provide loving, compassionate care to all hospice patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Donations to the Foundation ensure this mission is kept alive by helping fund expert pain and symptom management, compassionate end-of-life care, bereavement counseling, the Evergreen program and so much more.
Last year alone, Mount Carmel Hospice was able to serve more than 1,200 patients, aid 3,000 family members and provide bereavement services to over 4,000 family members and friends. Your generous gift to Mount Carmel Hospice will touch thousands more lives and provide comfort and relief at a crucial time.

Women and Family Services Fund
A baby's first year is critical. A generous donation to the Women and Family Services fund helps support mother and newborn infant home visits conducted by a Mount Carmel nurse through the Welcome Home Program, as well as the Moms 2B Program, which encourages healthy habits for new and expecting moms. The goal of these programs is to make the transition from hospital to home easier — especially for young and first–time moms — and reducing infant mortality rates in Franklin and surrounding counties.

Women's Health Initiative Fund
Your gift to the Mount Carmel Foundation will help ensure Mount Carmel can continue to offer valuable, uplifting and important programs and services for women in need throughout central Ohio like the mobile mammography coach. The mobile mammography coach travels local communities offer mammograms that are read and interpreted by a team of expert radiologists with the highest level of skill and communicated directly with patients after the event. We also bill patients' insurance plans directly. And thanks to generous funding from Komen Columbus for the Cure and the Mount Carmel Foundation, women who are underinsured will not be turned away.
This designation also helps fund wigs and prosthesis for underserved cancer patients, camisoles for mastectomy patients free-of-charge, breast reconstruction and genetic testing for breast cancer survivors, as well as many other important women's services.

The Gallen Memorial Endowment Fund
The purpose of the Dr. Joseph M. Gallen, Sr., Dr. Joseph M. and Janet Gallen Memorial Endowment Fund is to provide ongoing financial support to mother and infant programs at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. As well as, the Mount Carmel Health System's Welcome Home Program postpartum home wellness visits.
